More Afghanistan

I'm not sure anyone should really pay attention to any of the people who screwed up the entire effort in Afghanistan, but I do recommend reviewing the very recent instructive consequences of the Bush/Cheney/Rice fuck-up du jour.

More troops without a plan to use them effectively does very little good, and given the probability of the Karzai government remaining in power, no planning - increased troop levels or not - may be able to recover the opportunity we lost after 2002.
